I think it's only fair to warn anyone who still reads this blog that I've mostly abandoned it to work on a more consistent blog called Jamie Words as well as sporadic & silly updates in my other Livejournal The Eventide Muse.

Though this blog is pretty much ending (we've lasted almost 7 years, my friend! How's that for some consistency in the world of flashy internet?), it's not the end of Jamie's internet writing. Not by a long shot. I'm just... re-directing a bit.

Enjoy. :)

I'm so very thankful. The last two birthdays have been hard because the friends, while great, were seasonal. I'm so grateful these friends have been in Bozeman and will be in Bozeman for a while with me.

Happy birthday, me. Yay. :)

If I was ever transported to another dimension and had the chance to take things with me, I definitely would not wear my school uniform complete with knee high socks and loafers. There would be hiking boots and a change of clothes into that country's native garb so I wouldn't stand out to EVERY PERSON I see.

Yes, I'm watching more anime. Big surprise. :) It's actually the first time I've WATCHED Fushigi Yuugi, though I've always known what's happened. I think part of me is rebelling against the stringent rules placed upon me in my youth when I was 15 and not allowed to watch PG-13 anime... even though PG-13 movies were okay (does anyone else see a discrepancy there?)

Also, being not-15 and watching FY, it's a RIDICULOUS show. I mean, really. It's like the Twilight of anime. If I ever write a girl-is-transported-to-another-world story (and trust me, watching FY is giving me all sorts of ideas for a satirical short story), there are things to specifically mock. :)

That is all. I didn't realize I was this much of an anime geek until I started seeking it out so much. It's like my own personal brand of crack.

Most surprisingly, God met me tonight watching The Two Gentlemen of Verona for Shakespeare in the Park. He showed me the depth of my unfaithfulness and the way I run after unsound desires... and the weight and undeserved nature of his forgiveness for that. It was a really good show -- wonderfully funny and just GOOD to see live theatre again!

That is all. :)

(one of the best moments in Bleach, ever. I could have died when Ichigo threw Orihime over his shoulder in his masculine, "What? This is the quickest way down. What's the problem?" and Orihime's girl moment of "But... I'm heavy..." Ah, the differences between genders. :)

also, I'm obviously in an anime mood judging from how anime is dominating my lj icons. Yay FMA and Bleach! :D I love being a dork!!)

I have now joined the ranks of the Mac users. And it is yay. (but then again, anything after my dying laptop would be yay. But it is still especially yay)

Ha!
One of the funniest and surreal moments of realization is seeing that fanfiction you wrote when you were thirteen is still perserved on the Internet (though thankfully hidden under your then pen name). SO FUNNY.

...but don't go find it. It's bad. Really. The stuff of thirteen-year-old taste (which is to say, none).
